A White Christmas

As I mentioned in our Christmas Eve post, it began to snow on Christmas Eve and when we woke up Christmas morning, we had a beautiful blanket of white outside. It was the perfect Christmas morning. Isaac was so much more excited about opening presents now that he had figured out... there is something cool inside here. He got so many exciting things. He also enjoyed eating Pepparkakor gingersnaps (a Christmas tradition from when Barry lived in Norway) while he opened presents. And he was extra excited because Nana and Grampa Dan were there with us. He had so many presents, I didn't think we would get them all opened, but we did and he was thrilled about each one.

Then we had Christmas breakfast, which for Isaac included Goldfish graham crackers from his stocking from Nana and of course using his new kitchen toys to eat with. Nana gave him some of his own kitchen toys to keep in his cabinet in the kitchen. I don't think she intended for him to eat fruit with them.

We then, of course, had to have our morning breathing treatment. Isaac didn't mind...he got to watch the Wiggles.

Then, it was time to head to Grandma and Papa Watts house across town for more present opening and Christmas dinner. Barry shoveled the walk for us. It is a five minute drive, but we decided to leave 30 minutes early to get through the snow.We couldn't get our cars out of the garage, but Nana and Grampa's van was out front. Since it was Christmas day, the city had not plowed our street. So, an hour later, after Dad and Barry digging the van out multiple times, and climbing in through the back hatch because the doors were frozen shut, we slid into Papa and Grandmas about 30 minutes late.

Isaac got many more exciting toys and was in heaven with Grandma and Nana both in the same house.
