We went "Down Under" this year on the "Boomerang Express" - also known as "VBS". Barry and I were in charge of decorations and we each had a few other respective jobs. Barry of course went above and beyond building a massive train complete with a working light and smoke on our stage.
He had great assistance from Brandon. I turned the lobby into a train station and the downstairs into the "Outback" with the wonderful assistance of Julie and a few other helpers. Our kids were all very cooperative as we put in countless hours preparing. It was well worth the work - the kids had a blast learning about God! There are great pictures of Barry's train, but it seems no one took any pictures of the lobby or the "Outback" downstairs. If anyone out there has a picture of the fellowship hall during VBS, I would love to have a copy. We had record numbers this year with over 80 kids some days. As you can see in the pictures, Isaac had a blast, and so did Ben, Grace, and Molly. We were all a bit tired from the late nights, but thankful for all God did!
