Isaac thoughts for the day...

Ok, so I am a little behind on my blogging. We have been busy as usual, but we have also all three been sick. So, that just adds to the chaos. Since this blog is also my way of keeping up with "Isaac facts", I have a few updates. Hopefully sometime this summer I will get to work on his scrapbook and transfer all these wonderful facts to that. But, since I am on page 3 of that baby book, this will do for now. Isaac is eight months old and changing every day. He sits up on his own and loves to play. He laughs constantly, sometimes we can't even figure out what he is laughing at. That is a better problem than not knowing what he is crying about. He loves to play with the TV remote and watch the buttons light up when he pushes them. He also loves the laptop, which makes it hard to keep up with the blogging. He wants to push the buttons and touch the screen. He loves to watch Blue's Clues as he wakes up in the morning and eats his morning bottle. He can hold his own bottle now, which saves time in our schedule. He also loves to eat baby food. He is all about the vegetables. He loves squash, sweet potatoes, green beans, and peas. He is not a fan of fruit, though I can get him to eat applesauce if I mix it with oatmeal. When I tried to give him bananas or peaches, he literally gagged the minute it hit his tongue and spit it back out. We have no problem telling what he likes and doesn't like. He likes to play in his high chair while I clean the kitchen and he is getting very used to playing in all the rooms at church as Barry and I work on different projects.

As I sit here typing, he is sitting in my lap playing with a block very contently. He loves his mommy and daddy. When either of us walk out of the room he cries. When daddy walks into a room, he smiles and usually laughs. He definitely likes to be able to see us. We don't have to necessarily be giving him direct attention all the time, but he just likes to be where we are. Nana says I was the same way. Every time I look at his smiling face, I remember how long we tried and prayed before we got our miracle and I thank God for this little boy who we love so much.

Well, I have laundry to fold and dishes to do, so I will have to give you more Isaac facts later.
