Isaac's birthday was sandwiched between weeks of camp this year (as it is every year). We were at camp from Sunday to Thursday. His birthday was on Friday, then we went back for week number 2 of camp on Sunday. So, on Friday evening, we celebrated his birthday with three of his favorite things - his friends, cars, and cake!
We had a track on the parking lot and lots of racing. This one was a photo finish, but I think Grandma and Luke beat Isaac to the finish line...
We also had a drive through car wash, which Isaac drove through many times, and also walked through.
Then, Barry cooked us all hot dogs and we had cake (Lightning McQueen style).
I had been working on Isaac's cake throughout the day and he kept wanting to touch it. I had told him, we have to wait until your friends are here and we sing "Happy Birthday". So, we sang happy birthday and then Isaac stuck his finger in the cake. I guess he followed my directions.
Happy Birthday to my little blessing. We waited so long for you to come into our lives, but you were worth the wait. Thank you God for giving him to us. We pray that You will help us to raise him the way You would want us to.
