Our church had VBS the last week in July. God blessed us with 101 different kiddos throughout the week. We pray that we touched their lives an a positive way and they can look back and know that God loves them. Barry and I were in charge of decorations among many other things. Here are a few pictures of the Rainforest that we turned the lobby and stage area into. Barry built a bridge on the stage and put a working waterfall in the baptistry. The kids absolutely loved it. I also built a baby elephant out of paper mache which turned out to be lots of work, but really cool. I also made a huge anaconda for the lobby. After it was all said and done, I think I cut out 3 gajillion (oh yeah, that's a word, hee hee) leaves, twisted one million vines, and broke 4 fingernails. God is awesome!!
Barry used his dramatic talent in the skits. I love these pictures because you can see his fabulous expressions. He is so hilarious!
We worked hard and had fun. Our nephew George helped with recreation and dressed up in the monkey suit which the kids loved. Ben, Grace, Sarah, and TJ seemed to have tons of rainforest fun. Grace celebrated her birthday during VBS again this year and looked fabulous in her birthday dress and pony tails. Isaac had fun with the toddler gang playing on the playground and watching Veggie Tales.
